The International Conference of the College of Sports Sciences and Physical Activity (IC-CSSPA) at King Saud University in Saudi Arabia was inaugurated in 2018. The objective of this conference is to deliberate on the latest scientific developments within the sport sectors and to propose solutions by engaging experts and specialists globally. This initiative aims to shape future strategies and visions for the advancement of sports.
This year, the College of Sports Sciences and Physical Activity (CSSPA) is hosting the Sixth International Conference and Exhibition of Sports Sciences and Physical Activity with the theme of "Hosting Sport Events" from November 3rd to 5th, 2025. The conference coincides with significant global sporting events, including the successful of Saudi’s bids to host the FIFA World Cup 2034 and the AFC Asian Cup 2027, as well as, other international events recognized worldwide. The conference will discuss the scientific, economic, investment, and employment dimensions of hosting sports events. Furthermore, the conference will address the significance of laws, regulations, and legislation pertinent to hosting sporting events, adapting to contemporary advancements in event organization, and ensuring good governance, fairness, and integrity within the sports events. The conference will also evaluate the requirements for achieving security and safety during these events, and the role of artificial intelligence and technology in enhancing hosting sporting events, facilitating visitor access and transportation through modern smart applications.

This year, our conference focuses on a particularly pertinent theme: "Hosting Sport Events," and we're delighted to convene right here at King Saud University from the 3rd to the 5th of November, 2025.
This conference arrives at a truly remarkable juncture for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We've witnessed unprecedented achievements and significant advancements across numerous sectors, including sports, firmly establishing our nation as a leader on the local, regional, and international stages. Globally, the Kingdom's successful bid to host the FIFA World Cup 2034—the world's most followed sporting spectacle—stands as a testament to our ambition and capability. Regionally, our success in securing the hosting rights for the AFC Asian Cup 2027 further underscores our growing influence in the world of sports. Nationally, Saudi Arabia has become a vibrant hub for major sporting events, attracting elite athletes from around the globe and solidifying its position as a premier destination for international sports competitions.
These remarkable regional and international sporting accomplishments, spearheaded by King Saud University and its esteemed College of Sports Sciences and Physical Activity, are a direct result of the unwavering support and generous patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
This year, our conference will have the distinct privilege of hosting a distinguished assembly of local and international scientists, leading experts, and influential decision-makers. We'll delve into a range of contemporary issues crucial to the successful hosting of sport events, encompassing vital areas such as investment, finance, marketing, sponsorship, logistical support, the integration of artificial intelligence, governance frameworks, and relevant legislation. We're confident that the conference's outcomes and recommendations will significantly contribute to enhancing the hosting of major international sporting events, most notably the FIFA World Cup, not only within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia but also in participating nations worldwide.
